It's the insecurities, the Devilish lies that are hidden deep, that have the power to cripple our actions, passions, and even our love. And when we finally look our hearts in the mirror we realize the sacred questions about our core being..
Am I good enough? Am I worth it?
Who am I? And am I really enough for God, could I really be loved, and lovely?
And our answers shape our destiny- for the answers to those questions form the roots of who we believe we are and how we will treat the people around us.
If we know that our Father is a good, good Father and we know that Satan is the Father of all lies and the ruler of counterfeits then it doesn't take us much time to realize the difference between what God thinks of us and the lies Satan makes us believe.
The devil teaches us we have to earn salvation, we have to earn God's love. He tells us to work and work harder. And when we mess up, he slams his hand down in our faces. He reminds us of each and every mistake. He yells at us "You'll never make it." "You should quit now."
Because if the devil can convince us that we have no worth, that we could never be loved with God-- then hope will be lost. If the Devil can convince us, we are too far we gone, we will stop seeking out God's healing hand and begin to become manipulated by our enemy.
We know we are not good enough. We know that we all have fallen short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23). Yet we also know that our Father is the King of Kings. That His love has the power to break every chain in our life, that His love can set us free. That He is the Healer, the Creator, the giver of every good thing, the Father of restoration.
So my friend, stop criticizing yourself. Stop pointing out your flaws in the mirror, or at work, or in relationships. Forgive yourself and look up to the healing hand of Christ. The Father loves you. You are enough for Him. His love will never change for your name is written upon His hand and He loves to sing about you.
